About Company
An Indian film production company founded by childhood friends. Based in Mumbai, they produce and distribute feature films, and within a short span of time has established itself as one of the prominent producers in the Hindi film industry. They are one of the key makers of modern cinema and has heralded cinematic trends since past years- the way films are made, the way films are marketed and the way films are consumed.
Project Summary
Being a leading film producer, the team had intended to be able to deliver uninterrupted, high quality content to end-users. Hence, they were looking for a solution to increase performance of the existing website that was hosted on IaaS. Microsoft on-boarded IFI Techsolutions to help them with performance and security issues.
They required the WordPress application to have an increased availability and monitoring as well. After assessing the client’s application and database our Azure experts decided to migrate the application to PaaS service.
Challenge
Being a Customer centric company, the team had to intend for the endless business continuity to be able to provide uninterrupted services to end-users. Hence, they were looking for a solution to increase performance of the existing application that was hosted on IaaS. The WordPress website was taking very long to load, leading to several performance issues. There were very few security measures and alerts available to warn the customer about high memory utilizations. Infrastructure maintenance and cost optimization was also a prime concern to be considered.
Solution
Considering customers business needs we assigned a team of certified Azure experts who deeply analyzed entire website and its integration. To overcome performance issues we migrated the entire application and database as well to Azure App Service and Azure Database for MySQL. We also used Front Door to leverage the CDN and Web Application Firewall capability to increase performance and security. CDN helped to much better performance. Considering the vast data and confidentiality associated we set up SSL offloading at the Front Door level to provide adequate security. Also, Azure Monitor helped to increase monitoring of the environment.
